Indigenous education, culture, and healthcare are fundamental pillars for the sustainable development of Indigenous peoples. To promote Indigenous education, revitalize Indigenous cultures, preserve and revitalize Indigenous languages, support the development of Indigenous media, enhance digital opportunities, and foster lifelong learning and social education, the Indigenous Peoples Council of Taiwan has established the Guidelines for Subsidizing Indigenous Education and Cultural Promotion Programs as the basis for implementing related policies and initiatives.
Indigenous education encompasses a wide range of fields, including formal education, parent education, community education, Indigenous language education, and technical and vocational education. As society evolves and Indigenous issues continue to gain global attention, many important topics concerning education, cultural preservation, healthcare, and sustainable Indigenous development remain worthy of further research and discussion.
To promote international academic exchange and the sharing of practical experiences, this conference adopts a global perspective by inviting scholars, researchers, educators, healthcare professionals, and practitioners from Taiwan and abroad. Through keynote speeches, paper presentations, and international dialogue, participants will share experiences and research on Indigenous policies, educational practices, cultural heritage, and healthcare from different countries. The conference aims to establish an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural platform for academic collaboration, strengthen international partnerships, and advance research and professional practice in Indigenous education, culture, and wellbeing.
